- An existing metal-ceramic fixed dental prosthesis on the maxilla extending from tooth 17 to tooth 27
- Multiple periapical inflammatory lesions were identified in the region of the maxillary teeth
- The need for comprehensive endodontic and prosthodontic treatment

Process stages
Initial clinical presentation
Treatment objective:
To stabilize the condition of the periodontal tissues, reduce inflammatory processes, and improve the overall oral health status.
Procedure performed:
A clinical examination and comprehensive assessment of the oral cavity were performed.
The condition of the existing prosthetic restorations, abutment teeth, and surrounding tissues was evaluated.
Radiographic examination
Procedure performed:
An orthopantomogram (OPG) was performed, revealing periapical changes in the region of the maxillary teeth.
Treatment objective:
To assess the condition of the teeth and determine the required extent of treatment.
Endodontic treatment
Procedure performed:
Retreatment of the root canals of all affected teeth was performed. Temporary crowns were placed during the healing period.
Treatment objective:
To eliminate sources of infection and inflammation and prepare the teeth for definitive prosthetic rehabilitation.
Healing monitoring
Procedure performed:
A follow-up orthopantomogram (OPG) was performed after 6 months. Positive healing dynamics of the periapical changes were observed.
Treatment objective:
To confirm the success of the treatment and proceed to the prosthodontic phase.
